the Empire strikes back

all the gang are back again. Irvin Kershner directs the guys. After the destuction of the death star, Vader seeks revenge on the Ice battle hoth. Then the group breaks up. Luke begins training with the jedi master Yoda. The others seek refuge with Han's old buddy Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Wiliams).

Often regarded as the best of the three films, it kicks off with a big battle and ends with an incredible twist. All the guys have a lot of fun. Ford turns in his best performance of Han Solo. We get to know him better. Much of the maturing comes from the writing of Larry Kasdan. Great fun.
